No pictures of the FO´s I´m afraid.
Note to self: next time you drag your seven-year-old son to a park specifically to photograph his newly
finished Dragon Sweater – make sure that the camera-battery isn´t totally flat.
I just hope that Ludvig didn´t learn a whole new vocabulary...
And I´m still not altogether happy with that brown cardigan I was knitting in sock yarn. After I made the sleeves a bit bigger they ended up looking too bulky. Sigh.
I might have to unravel and reknit them again. But I´m saving that special treat for later. I don´t fancy having a nervous breakdown just before Christmas.
So no pictures of the brown cardi either.
But I do have this swatch to show you:
This is a pattern that was inspired by an ad in the paper – for tiles. Very expensive tiles.
Since I can´t afford such expensive tiles in my kitchen I decided to knit a sweater instead
that I can wear while I walk about in the kitchen.
(How about that for an excuse to buy more yarn, eh? Impressed?)
I´m calling the pattern "Kakel Spektakel" (kakel is Swedish for tiles) for the time being.
I´m using the first sleeve as a swatch and this is my second attempt that I´m fairly happy with.
Though I have reknitted the last few rows at least ten times. I tried to add a little yellow, but didn´t think it looked that good. I´m still not sure I´ve got it right. But I´ll get there eventually. I hope.
P.S. Any thoughts or suggestions are welcome!
Or if you think this swatch is a complete failure – just send me the money to buy those tiles instead.
Oh, beautiful, beautiful! How well the colours work together, and with that tiny bit of apple green with the red ... Do you mind if I just plain out steal your colours?!

Hello? It's perfect. Don't change a thing.

It looks really lovely! The green really pops up!
I love the idea of using tiles as inspiration - I want to knit something with yellows, blues and white, for a Mediterranean theme.

Så snyggt! Du är fantastisk! Kommer ju att bli mycket finare och skönare framförallt än några kakelplattor.

It looks wonderful as it is!

Love it! And I bet it looks even better as a knitted jumper than the original tiles.
