Is there anybody out there still?
It sounds kind of echoey and empty.
I wish I could say that I´ve been away on holiday all this time. But I got back from a wet, but wonderful Ireland weeks ago.
It turned out that I was not the only one in need of a break, though.
Just a day or two later the broadband packed its bags and took off to somewhere in cyberspace without leaving a forwarding address.
After a couple of hours on the phone to the IT-support a new modem was installed and I´m back in blogland once more. Ah, home sweet home.
But having no internet certainly gave me enough time to finish the Vogue lacy dress/tunic that I´ve been working on ALL summer. And I was so happy when I had made the last stitch that I had to put it on and photograph it instantly!
Okay, so it´s a bit seethrough. But at least I look a lot less gloomy than what I did in my last blogpost.
Hardly anything I´ve made before has earned me so many compliments. And it´s not because my underwear is visible – when I´ve worn this chic little number to work I´ve put on a vest underneath.
Now I don´t regret a single stitch.
I´ve used the original pattern from Vouge spring/summer 2007 mainly as a guidance because the yarn I picked (from my stash, baby) was a lot thinner, Eko cotton bought at Nysta last summer.
I love, love, love this yarn and the colour is my absolute favourite pink.
But using a totally different yarn meant that I had to knit the bottom part of the sleeves twice – I made them as swatches, sort of, and realized I had to go down a needle size when I saw how large they were at first. I think I used a number 3 needle in the end.
Just one more picture – please, bear with me – after all the effort that´s gone into this knitting.

It's cute-- and inspiring. Do you think a winter version of this dress would work well?

Men, får försöka göra annat, kanske? Hm, bla slåss med datorn och se om den vill rapportera från gårdagens spinnande med härliga Barbro... :)
Må så grankott - och den där vore läcker i vinter till byxor/kjol... dessutom! ;)
